The band was formed by Radke while he was serving time in Nevadas High Desert State Prison for a 2008 parole violation. In the fall of 2006, they switched their name to Pierce the Veil, which was the name of a track on the previous Before Today album, and brought on board bassist Jaime Preciado and guitarist Tony Perry. Fronted by former Escape the Fate frontman Ronnie Radke, Falling in Reverse is a post-hardcore band based out of Nevada. In time, Tancil and Ballatore quit the band, leaving Victor and Mike to start over and rebuild. This was when punk rock was really popping off in California, mainly in LA, and Black Flag was the band at the top of the list as far as local punk rock heroes. Before Today played as a unit for several years, and after signing to Equal Vision Records, released the album A Celebration of an Ending in September 2004. This song is a full-blown attack about the emotion jealousy, so delivered by those guys at this time it had a lot impact.
